What does the service cover?

With this service we will chemically develop and scan your film, providing you with digital images which will be provided via email & downloadable Dropbox link!

How much is the discount?

Built into the pricing, there is a £5 discount in total making each roll £1 cheaper!

What Films can be used with this service?

Under this service, we an develop and scan colour negative (C41) and Black & White films in the following formats: 35mm, medium format, APS & Disposable cameras.

Mix & Match is also possible with the bulk bundle! Any of the above film types can be used in the same bundle.

How does this service work?

1. Chose your developing, add to basket and head to check out!

2. At checkout select an option for the return of your negatives: 2nd class, 1st class, tracked or No Negatives returned (if you don't want them).

3. Receive an automated confirmation email with your order number and our address to ship your film to.
(We unfortunately don't cover the cost of shipping to us so please scroll down to see the best practice on how to ship your film to us).

4. Ship your film to us

5. Once and it has arrived we will send another email to let you know it's here and what date you will get your images back!

6. After some film processing magic, we will email your images over to you.

Our opening hours are 11am-6pm, but we work later into the evening to complete orders when necessary, so don't despair if you haven't heard from us by 6pm on your projected date!

7. Returning your negatives (if shipping has been paid for). After we've emailed your images we will ship your film negatives back within 10 working days.

Important caveat: If you have ordered extras such as film, prints, merch or 'Develop Only' service for scanning at home, these will always be shipped on the next possible shipping day (Shipping Days: Tuesday & Thursday/Friday).

Shipping Tips (Royal Mail)

Feel free to use whichever courier service that is most convenient for you, but here is the best practice for getting your film quickly and safely...

Best parcel types: A padded jiffy bag or something sturdy like cardboard packaging (anything paper may rip in ythe post and lose your film!)

How to send: Make sure to ship your film as a 'small parcel' to avoid extra shipping fees from the Royal Mail. This can be done online, taking your film to your local post office or using 5/6 stamps.

What to put in your parcel: Along with your film, make sure to leave a note with your name and order number so we can identify your parcel when it arrives and get your images as soon as possible.

Whilst we do our absolute best to get your images back to you by the provided turnaround dates, these are projections so there can be a day's delay with these. If we are behind with your order this will be our priority the following day!

Low Res: 800kb - 2mb // ~1000 x 1600px

The low-res option is great for digital use on small screens! For those of you looking to post shots to social media or just to be kept on the camera roll.These small file sizes will ensure they’re not taking up too much space on your phone, tablets, and laptops, especially if you're planning on shooting a lot of film!

Medium Res: 4-8mb // ~3100 x 2100px

Our recommended all-rounder, the medium resolution is great for Instagram and other social media posting, whilst also better larger scale digital use including websites.Medium res scans will also allow for printing 6x4" up to A4 whilst retaining full quality!

High Res JPEG: 17-40mb // ~6800 x 4500px

Our highest resolution jpeg option is suitable for printing that little bit bigger, A3 and above.

High Res TIFF: 25 - 45mb // ~6800 x 4500px

Our High Res TIFF option is great for any large size printing, and holds much more data than JPEG files to allow more flexibility for post-production & editing on Lightroom, Photoshop, or any other editing software!

Colour Film

We don’t push or pull colour film. Our pro colour film developer runs at a single speed, so we are not able to change the length of time your film spends developing. However, the good news is, that colour film is very flexible and can handle a couple of stops up and down! If you have shot your film a couple stops away from the box speed and your are worried about exposure, let us know and we can take extra care of your film in the scanning stage and make sure we nail the exposure for you :)

BW Film

We will definitely push your BW film for you! This comes at no extra cost, just add these details to the note you put in your parcel, detailing the film you that needs pushing, and what ISO/ASA you shot this film at so we can make the right calculations. Most BW films have tick boxes on the canister to note what ISO/ASA you shot the film at, if you mark this in marker pen as well, we won’t miss it!

With pulling BW film, we can do this on request. However the general results seen with pulling film, rather than increasing the exposure of the film and bringing up the ‘brightness’ we tend to lose the contrast which creates a flatter, more washed out image!
We very kindly ask you not to send us any form of souped film. Souped film being film treated and exposed to any kind solution such as green tea, red bull, or literal soup before being dried and sent to us. We make this request as the integrity of these films is massively reduced, so when it goes through our developing machine it starts to fall apart, affecting the quality of our chemicals and leaving bits; micro pieces of film and soup floating around, negatively impacting the developing results for all the films that follow - if this isn’t noticed or changed quickly. It is very costly to fix this and change all our chems! We thank you and appreciate you for your understanding on this!
